You bought a diamond You bought an island You bought a mansion and the houses next door The sea is rising The sea is rising The sea is rising and they’re building on the seashore! We put you, we put you, we put you In the Earth with these digging hands in ways we have nearly forgot How to dig How to sing How to howl A-oooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooo The dogs remind us we are here, only here And when it rains, it RAINS The Earth swallows and breathes In places we know it will be dry because we cannot hold it well And the dogs remind us, DRINK like it’s your last every time Drink it all And when you run, RUN with every bone loose and every tendon singing, I am alive and I run A-oooooooooooooooooooo Ooooooooooooooooo We are runners We are breathers We are pray-ers We are here, only here This river This day This Earth It is now It is now

Orang-utan 04:38
Flames in the trees, come be with me Cracks in the land, come take my hand Oil in the sea, connect with me Fish on the shore, I love you more Last of the bees, come talk to me Ash in the clouds, we’re in the crowd The melting ice, give me advice Orang-utan, I’m glad we sang

Live 03:48
I am trying to fix it by doing more things I am trying, I’m, I’m I’m trying to fix it The difficulty is not with the rebelliousness It’s, it’s with you Scared to eat The belly which burns the fuel and makes you walk and walk and walk and walk and grow, and flood The perverse logic of passion My body decides she will go slow Slow She sends me a memo I am with you, I am with you Leave it aside Underlying it all is the sense of sense of failure A sense that it was harder, thinner An overwhelming sense Titanic thoughts that nobody causes She says what kind of thing do you want? What kind of thing did you want? Spoken language, its flexibility The ability to respond to change with grace Setting the scene, setting the scene Consider a beginning, middle, and end.

about

This is the debut album of Band Sensations.

The title, 'Flames in the trees, come be with me', is taken from a line from one of our songs, Orang-utan. This song is about the many ways we try to hold it together as we watch dystopian futures unfold.

Flames in the trees, come be with me, was conceived as a dystopian dance album, and some of it will enhance your dance.

But it has strayed into pop lands, ballad country, spoken ground, and the animal wilderness. These are songs about climate change, plums, dead and living dogs, plans of the elite to escape to outer space, and howling.

It has been three and a-half years in the making. We hope you like it.
